Roll Wrapping Machine: Enhanced Transport Stability for Roll-Based Products

2025 12/09

Insufficient roll surface protection leads to transport damage
Industries such as non-woven fabric, curtains/interlining, coils, rubber products, and paper materials often produce roll-type goods with large exposed surfaces. These areas are easily affected by moisture, dust, abrasion, and pressure marks during storage and transportation.
Many factories still rely on manual wrapping or simple packaging methods, leading to inconsistent tightness, unsecured roll ends, wrinkled film, and unstable appearance. With increasing production volumes and higher delivery standards, achieving more standardized and fully-sealed roll protection has become essential.
The roll wrapping machine addresses these challenges by providing stable, uniform wrapping and improved transport security.

Equipment structure: 360° full wrapping around the roll diameter
The roll wrapping machines rotates the roll via the powered turntable while the pre-stretch film carriage dispenses film under controlled tension, forming a continuous protective layer.
The system includes a driven turntable, film carriage, pneumatic top-ejection system, PLC control module, and optional weighing/labeling functions.
The turntable provides stable rotation for rolls of various diameters and widths; the pre-stretch carriage reduces wrinkles and ensures tight adhesion; the pneumatic ejection system smoothly removes the finished roll, improving unloading efficiency and reducing manual handling.
A standard paper-roll packaging model supports 600–1500 mm diameters and 700–3050 mm widths, covering most common roll specifications. With 0–10/15 rpm adjustable speed, 1500 kg load capacity, and 10–30 rolls/hour throughput, it fits small to large-volume operations.
Features: Continuous coverage, tight appearance, and improved transport stability
The machine’s primary advantage lies in its stable, uniform wrapping. Adjustable film tension, turntable speed, and overlapping ratio allow it to accommodate rolls of different thicknesses and materials.
Benefits include:
Moisture protection for absorbent materials such as non-woven rolls or paper rolls
Surface abrasion reduction for soft or fragile materials
Improved containment for heavy rubber rolls or coils
Cleaner appearance and standardized packaging for logistics and inspections
Pre-stretch technology reduces film usage, lowering material cost for high-volume operations. Better wrapping consistency enhances stacking stability in warehouses and during transport.
By adjusting turntable speed, film tension, and wrapping overlap, it meets the diverse requirements of each industry. Optional modules—such as weighing, label printing, and base-plate protection—extend its usability within a full factory logistics process.
